Document coding is the process of identifying and extracting information specific to each document into a common form so that the documents are rendered searchable at any later date. Coding makes the search process easier. Comat can comfortably handle any complex coding requirement.

•	In-Text Coding
	In-text coding is the line-by-line review of each page of the document for specific keywords, product names, individuals' names etc. Comat can comfortably deliver the output to the clients in formats compatible with all the major Litigation support software such as SummationT, ConcordanceT, IPROT, and RingtailT etc.
	•	Document Unitization
		A document is an exclusive page or a series of pages characterized by a unique creation date, author, recipient, document type etc. Document Unitization is the process of determining the boundaries of a document. It can also be called as Document Determination.
		There are two types of Document unitization services
		•	Logical Document Determination (LDD)
		•	Physical Determination

		•	Logical Document Determination (LDD)
			LDD is the process in which the attachment range and the document ranges within the attachment range are determined. The document ranges are determined by inspecting all the loose pages to determine where a document starts and ends and the attachment ranges are determined by their relationship with prior or subsequent documents.

		•	Physical Determination
			Physical Determination is based on the presence of binding elements, such as a paper clip or a stapler. Documents are unitized within the physical boundaries determined by the binding elements. Comat is comfortable in providing the output in all the well-known litigation support database formats like SummationT, ConcordanceT, IPROT, and RingtailT etc.
