India is a land that has for long been agog with excitement stemming out of the move into the “digital age” or into times when information is available in the electronic format. Although corporate India has made the move to electronic documents to facilitate information dissemination among its workforce in a seamless manner, Governments in India still have teething problems in making this move.
The reluctance to use strikingly different from the paper and pen facilitated information flow among the employees in government offices/departments means the decisions to bring in “digitisation” of all paper records have to first move the barrier of conscious reluctance to adopt technology. There is then the fear of “security of data.” Any adoption can be secure only when data will be available to the authorised officials. Also the ability to check for any discrepancies is all-important.
It is this endeavour of various governments that Comat seeks to push towards success by helping them adopt Document Management Systems. |
