E-Governance Approach

India's growing demand for E-Governance and Private Partnership

The World Bank and other institutions claim that good E-Governance is desirable, yet they assess that only one of every six E-Governance projects succeeds. Success requires key players who respect realities and are competent. Comat has emerged as a firm that will deliver success: we reliably deliver on E-Governance projects up to the most ambitious scales.

Our success makes us extremely well represented and increasingly visible in rural India. Public and Private Sector, keen to reach this new market, are signaling huge, growing, robust demand for our services. The nature of our work has expanded to evolve a robust methodology to refine Public-Private Partnerships to viably serve mixed interests. Our technologies, approaches and turnkey solutions, including financing, now provide economies of scale effectively impossible for competitors to match.

We will help deliver better government and vastly greater access to services and goods. We are well on our way to becoming an incomparably viable channel to creating a new generation of Market in Rural India.

Approach for Rural Reach

India's population is over 100 Crore and growing rapidly: more births occur in India than any other country. Yet India can be perceived as One Country, Two Worlds. While a portion of India enjoys growing affluence, some 70 percent of India's growing population live in rural villages, with little or no access to modern amenities. It is in fact estimated that 35 to 40 percent of Indians live Below Poverty Line on incomes of less than $1 per day. There is clearly urgent need to address such vast need for social and economic inclusion, as well as to promote more effective governance to efficiently serve constituent needs. The prosperity and stability of India as a whole are inextricably bound to the responsibility to promote successful growth in Rural India.

Indicators of the dimensions of rural poverty include lack of roads, lack of energy, lack of access to clean water, lack of proper sanitation facilities, lack of quality education, lack of access to healthcare, lack of gainful, employment, lack of opportunities to promote entrepreneurship, lack of gender equality, and other forms of social development.

On one hand we are witnessing technological explosions of unprecedented amalgamation with the developed world. On the other hand we witness pockets of poverty and misery in rural hinterlands which seem caught in a time warp.

Comat has served over 50 government agencies spread over 10 states and acquired major experience helping deploy some of India's most significant landmark E-Governance successes in the Rural Space. Our contributions and respect to meet promised obligations on-time and on-budget have helped to establish our reputation as credible reliable partners for public and private partners alike. Our successful service to Rural India over the years has cultivated deep total commitment that we must apply our technological and business expertise for more equitable digital inclusion, to promote sustainable social outcomes and to help reduce the digital divide.
