Digitization is the cornerstone of any e-governance initiative's success. Going through the archived physical records is an ominous task to provide or access information, particularly in the light of making Right to Information (Right to Information Act) mandatory. Digitization of all government documents is very important to address the information needs of citizens. This can also support various G2G, and G2B functions apart from G2C. Easy access to information will ensure speedy redressal of citizens' grievances with regard to their information rights.
