Bangalore. November 3, 2006

Bangalore based Comat Technologies has been recognised as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in India by the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu for its 'technology fast 50' (India) award. This award has been instituted in India by Deloitte to recognise the fastest growing technology companies in India.

Ranking is given to the 50 fastest growing technology companies, public or private, and includes all related industry sectors like: Communications, Software, Semiconductors, Components and Electronics, Life Sciences, Internet and Computer Peripherals. The selection process constitutes a rigorous procedure that considers percentage revenue growth from FY 2003 to FY 2006, among other considerations. Comat’s stupendous growth in the last 3 years, registering a growth of about 400% from the last year alone and its consistent business performance over the last 10 years were the contributing factors for this recognition.

Comat’s President Sriram Raghavan said, “Our business has grown in leaps and bounds since we began our work in the people-centric projects segment.  Our work in the areas of Land Records, Food and Civil Supplies, Rural Telecentres and many others are all milestones in Indian E-Governance. Now our work spans across 11 states and about 45 State departments. This recognition by Deloitte will only spur us on to do better.”

Comat was one of the earliest E-Governance organizations in India, having more than a decade of experience in working with Government, Public, Private and Multi-lateral organizations.
To sustain and grow further Comat recently added a few top management talent to their team including Ex-CEO of US based Marlabs, Shashi K. Patil, who joined Comat as the COO and E-Governance advisor to the Maharashtra Government Sanjay Bobde who has moved in to Comat as VP., E-Governance. According to Sriram Raghavan, it’s most likely that there will be more additions at the top.
